Age Restriction

Due to recent regulatory requirements introduced in some U.S. states, mobile platforms have started providing age signals to help determine whether a user is a minor.

To align with these changes, our apps now rely on age information provided by Apple and Google. This logic has been added to the core of the apps, meaning it applies to all apps globally. However, the age signal is only returned by the platforms in regions where these regulations apply.

In practice, if a user is identified as a minor by the operating system, they will not be able to create an account, log in, or access the timeline. This may apply in some U.S. states (such as Texas), but not in others (such as California) or in Europe.

This behavior is applied automatically based on the information provided by the operating system and does not require any additional configuration. The goal is to ensure regulatory compliance while relying on the standard mechanisms provided by Apple and Google.
